This fits just fine, and makes great coffee. I almost never made coffee for myself at home because I hated cleaning the carafe. I have a talent for smashing coffee carafes, usually while I'm cleaning them. Cleanup is a breeze. I researched (though my husband would say obsessed, and he may be right) carafe-less options and decided the Keurig would be a bad choice for us because of the pods. Found this one, and had to consider that I have a low clearance between my countertop and upper cabinets -- only about 14 1/2 ". The inside is a bit stained, but lemon juice should take care of that when it bothers me enough. Also gave one to my parents for Christmas, and they have not had any problems.
Jiggling and pressing it back into place works only temporarily. However, the plastic tank that replaces the decanter here is not dishwasher safe. I received this as a gift about six months ago, and I was thrilled because I am something of a Decanter Terminator--I am always managing to drop them or crack them or destroy them somehow. I now have to keep a small cup wedged under the spout while brewing or I get coffee all over the countertop. I rinse it every time I use it, but it stains very easily so now I can't tell from the outside how much coffee is left. Also, the little white valve thingy at the bottom of the tank is warped or something now. I pulled my old glass decanter coffeemaker out of the cabinet to start using again.I understand this is an early-model Brewmaster, so these two issues might have been corrected. I hope so.
I have mine almost 2 years & it still works as it did the first time I used it. it keeps the coffe hot. I love it. I am giving one as a gift for xmas.
I have followed the instructions, but it still leaks all over the counter. I have purchased (2) of these coffee makers in the past year. I love the coffee maker, but after owning it for a short period of time, it starts leaking all over the counter. If it wasn't for that the coffee maker would be great. I loved my first one, but it leaked, so I thought I would give it another chance, but it happened again.
We got this as a wedding present and couldn't be happier with it. Just this week, after 5 years of daily use, the handle to the pot broke-- but it's still usable. We've had the same pot for over 5 years and it has worked PERFECTLY every morning. We have a seriously large coffee habit and my husband has extremely picky coffee tastes; we brew at least 1 pot a day. We're going to replace our brewer with the exact same make. There's nothing handier in the morning, when you are in a rush, than to just put your cup against the pot and get a fresh cup; and no more broken glass.
